Privacy

Asano is self-hosted. It runs on your infrastructure, against your database, and it does not phone home. Your sites, racks, addresses, credentials and audit history stay on systems you control, and we never see them.

The only personal data we hold is what you send us directly — an email asking about the product, or the details needed to issue and invoice a licence.

Everything Asano records lives in the PostgreSQL database you provide. That includes user accounts, the audit log of who changed what, and any integration credentials you configure. Integration credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM using a key you supply and we never receive.

You are the data controller for that installation. Retention, backup, access and deletion are yours to set — we have no route in.

Asano does not send usage data, analytics or crash reports anywhere. Licences are verified offline against a public key compiled into the image, which is why the product works in air-gapped environments — and why we have no record of how you use it.

If you email us we hold the message and your address so we can reply. If you buy a licence we hold the customer name, billing contact and the installation identifier the licence is bound to, because a licence cannot be issued without them. We keep those records for as long as the commercial relationship lasts and for seven years afterwards, which is what UK tax law requires of us.

We do not sell any of it, and we do not use it for advertising.

getasano.app is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds nothing from third parties. Fonts are served from Google Fonts, which means Google receives the request for the font file; nothing else about your visit is shared.

Under UK GDPR you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to hello@getasano.app and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with the answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

For data held inside your own Asano installation, the request belongs with whoever runs that installation — we have no access to it and cannot act on it.
